The life of van gogh is a story with many different sides. He was born in 1853 and died at the age of 37. His entire life he had an obsession for art, which led to his being one of the most well known painters today. Before he became famous for his paintings, Vincent lived on an inheritance from his parents until it ran out. To support himself, Vincent took up teaching positions in England and Belgium. He then returned to the Netherlands where he started painting again. In 1886, after only 10 years as a painter, Van Gogh’s work began selling well but soon stopped because of depression and bipolar disorder that plagued him throughout childhood.
