Toby Keith is a country music artist that has had much success in the industry. Born on October 8, 1961 in Oklahoma City, he was raised by his mother and grandmother who taught him about hard work and how to have a good time. He began playing guitar at an early age and picked up the fiddle as well. In 1974 he formed his first band called The Shuffle Kings with three of his friends while still attending Oklahoma State University where he studied animal husbandry and agriculture.
