Patsy Cline was born on September 8th, 1932 in Winchester, Virginia. Cline’s parents were poor and she began working early in life to help support her family. In her early twenties, Cline began singing country music and achieved minor success before signing with Decca Records in 1957. Her career took off from there, and by 1962 she had become one of the biggest names in country music. Unfortunately, Cline died at the young age of 30 in a tragic plane crash.
