Jimmy Stewart was born on May 20, 1908, in Indiana, Pennsylvania. He was the oldest of three children. His parents were Elizabeth and Alexander Stewart. After high school, Stewart attended Princeton University, where he studied architecture. However, he had a passion for acting and decided to pursue that career instead. In 1930, he made his movie debut in The Hole in the Wall Gang. Over the next few decades, Stewart starred in some of Hollywood’s most popular films, including Rear Window and It’s a Wonderful Life. He was also a highly decorated World War II veteran who received the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service as a bomber pilot. Stewart died on July 3, 1997, at the age of 89.
