Carol Burnett is a well-known American actress and comedian. She has been in the industry for over 50 years, and through her comedy she has been able to make people laugh at hard times. Her work on The Carol Burnett Show was one of the most successful TV shows ever aired on television. It won 23 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Variety Series three consecutive years from 1975 to 1977. She also went on to win six Grammy awards with additional nominations throughout her career as an actress and comedian. In 2019, she will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington D.C.
