After her record-setting flight in 1932, she set many other records while flying around the world with pilot Wilmer Stultz. Her last flight ended on July 2, 1937 when her plane disappeared over the Pacific Ocean near Howland Island en route to Oakland, California from New Guinea. The mystery of what happened to Amelia Earhart has never been solved.
