Aldous Huxley was born in 1894 and died on November 22nd 1963. He is known for being a novelist, philosopher, mystic and pacifist. He was educated at Oxford University where he studied English literature. During the years of World War I he enlisted in the Royal Army Medical Corps and worked as an orderly until 1916 when his poor health forced him to return home. His novels include Brave New World (1932) which has been ranked as one of the top 100 novels in English by Modern Library’s list of books of the twentieth century; Eyeless in Gaza (1936); The Genius And The Goddess (1955). His essays include The Doors Of Perception (in 1954
